Over the years there have been a lot of new features installed on cars all over the world. To most people some of the new features that have been added or soon to be added are awesome and is more than happy that they’re installed. For instance, one of the new features that have caught a lot of attention is the new inflatable seat-belts that Ford has come up with. As of now, the inflatable seat-belts are currently only being installed on models that are made in the USA. Surely! It won’t be too long before the rest of the world is able to experience this feature for them. The purpose behind this add-on is to help with reducing injuries involving the head, neck, and chest. It performs and looks the same as basic seat-belts, the only difference is when there’s an accident the belt will inflate.

Nissan has climbed aboard the add-on ship by introducing their new brand of technology called “Eco Pedal.” Nissan’s main goal and focus of producing the “Eco Pedal” is to reduce the emissions. The way you drive will ultimately determine how much this feature will reduce emissions. On the dashboard there will be an indicator of some sort that’s there to keep you aware of when you’re driving on the “optimum acceleration range for fuel economy.” Its only job is to keep you on this level by adjusting the pedal as much as it has to until everything is where it needs to be.

Another feature that was designed and is in the “cutting emissions” arena is the Start Stop technology. This feature was built to not only help with reducing emissions but to also help with preserving fuel. It works by cutting off the engine to your car whenever it’s idle. This technique saves you big bucks at the pump because wasting precious gas is no longer permitted thanks to this feature. This gas saving new feature should be available to the public around the year 2015. A clever feature that’s now installed on the new Lexus L5600 gives the driver the ability to detect oncoming traffic with the use of a camera that has powerful light sensors. One of the best new features that were put in place is the sensor that has the ability to detect when your vehicle is moving into another lane. This will definitely prevent a lot of car accidents; therefore, saving a lot of lives.

As technology continues to improve you can count on new features to be added to current and new cars. Majority of these new add-ons will have a lot to do with safety. To reduce many problems on the road, the first step to take to help is to add new creative features to all cars. Once the safety issues are taken care of the ability to make fun features for cars is a must. With the new add-ons all cars become a bit safer and a bit cooler to drive. All car makers know that no matter how many ideas people come up with to better cars, the car safety is always first priority and in no way should it be compromised. To have a new car that’s loaded down with new key features is all any driver can ask for.
